Letter from Mayor Pruyn

ITASCA-LOGO-RGB

This afternoon, the Governor ordered Illinoisans to stay at home. The safety of our community is in all of our hands. It is our responsibility to rise to the occasion.

While this will not be easy, we must do all we can to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. We must prevent our healthcare system from becoming overwhelmed, protect our first responders from unnecessary risk, and provide for our defense against this pandemic. The easiest and best way to do this is to stay at home.

Itasca will play its role in ensuring that only the essential businesses as defined by Illinois Executive Order 2020-10 remain open to the public.

Our Village will continue to deliver essential government services to the residents and businesses of Itasca.

I urge all of you to be good neighbors. Take a moment to call and check on the most vulnerable, support our first responders, and remain optimistic. The day will come when we emerge as a stronger community for having supported each other during these times

Thank you,

Mayor Jeff Pruyn
