2020 Census Update

US Census Map

Help shape Itasca's future by responding to the census today.

Getting an accurate and complete count of Itasca’s population is critically important to our future, as it affects the amount of funding we receive for health, education, housing, and infrastructure programs. As of August 4th, 75.8% of Itasca’s residents have self-responded to the 2020 Census, compared to the national average of 62.9% and Illinois’s rate of 67.7%.

While we applaud those who have taken the few moments to complete the census, we still need to keep the momentum going. Right now, one out of every four households have not responded. Please help get the word out to your neighbors, friends, and family about the importance of responding to the census. Responses are needed by September 30 and can be completed by mail, phone, or online.

Census workers will begin in-person visits to non-responding addresses, until that household is counted.
