Construction Update – 2021 Cured-In-Place-Pipelining Program - Week of September 13, 2021

Construction of the - 2021 Cured-In-Place-Pipelining Program for Sanitary Sewers begins.

The Village of Itasca has contracted with Michels Pipe Services to clean, televise, and line the sanitary sewers in your neighborhood.

Their crews will begin working this week and the work should be completed within a few weeks of the start date.

The process of sewer cleaning uses water jetting equipment that may induce pressure changes within the sewer. Below are several tips to help reduce any inconvenience during the scheduled work:

  • Keep the toilet seat covers down.
  • Loosen caps or plugs on any exterior sewer cleanouts.
  • Cover basement and first floor drains to prevent any backsplash.
  • If you experience any odors after the cleaning has taken place, make sure that pea traps have water in them by running your faucets or adding water.
  • You may be asked to avoid flushing your toilet and limit water use during the lining portion of the project

If you have any questions regarding the work in progress, please contact Michels at (920) 579-9952
