When we think of stormwater as a precious fresh water resource, it doesn’t make sense to manage it like a waste product. There is a finite amount of fresh water on earth and we can all take steps to protect it, starting with collecting it where it falls!

Yard Waste Collection Begins Monday, April 3

Yard Waste

Yard waste and brush pickup will begin on Monday, April 3rd. The Village appreciates our residents’ efforts to maintain their property and recognizes that removing tree debris and yard waste may be difficult.

This is why the Village offers residents free Yard Waste and Brush Collection between the 1st Monday of April through the last Monday in November. To ensure your material is picked up by Republic Services, please follow the guidelines below:

Itasca Joins the Coalition to Stop CPKC

Itasca and seven suburbs have formed a coalition to staunchly oppose the proposed merger of Canadian Pacific Railway and Kansas City Southern Railroad pending before the Surface Transportation Board (STB) in Washington, D.C.

The “Coalition to Stop CPKC” was announced at a press conference on Tuesday at the Village of Itasca by community leaders and supporters, including area first responders.

Lead Service Line - Contractor to Visit Homes

Beginning Thursday, February 3rd, a Village of Itasca contractor will begin visiting homes in the Phase 1 Area of the project, to determine if the property is eligible for a replacement of a lead water service line.
