Check for the Green flag on the flag pole for free public use.
Please only skate when there is a Green flag for your safety.

Outdoor Ice Skating
Itasca Park District has an unsupervised skating rink located at the north
parking lot of the Itasca Waterpark at 100 N. Catalpa.
check the flag pole and display board outside the Waterpark for skating conditions.
Flag - Safe to skate on cleared areas during open hours. Skating is unsupervised.
Flag - No skating due to unsafe ice conditions.

Ice Rink Hours
1:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday-Sunday:
11:00 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
Designated Hockey Hours
and Thursday: 3:00-5:00 p.m.
11:00 a.m-2:00 p.m.
the event that there are no participants for hockey during the designated hours
the rink will be available for open skate.
In the event that there are no participants for open skate during
non-hockey hours, participants may play hockey.
Please be courteous of other participants and the designated hours.
nearest warming area and restrooms are located at the Itasca Community Library
during their open hours. The Village of
Itasca Police Station is also available for a warming area and restrooms. Please do not wear ice skates into the
note that it takes several days of temperatures well below freezing for good
ice to be made and for it to be deemed safe for skating.
