On Friday September 25, 2009 the Itasca Riverwalk was officially opened, linking the traditional downtown to the Municipal Complex, Waterpark, Library and Nature Center.

The Riverwalk is composed of a concrete surface, complete with lighting, decorative features and signage.  Additionally, two decorative disk-shaped brick paver sections have been built as areas to relax and enjoy nature.

The Riverwalk represents a important component in making the Village of Itasca a more walkable and pedestrian friendly community.
