The Village of Itasca proudly hosts an annual Green Day event, where sustainability meets community each year in May, on the first Saturday of the month. This event is a chance to responsibly dispose of unwanted electronics, securely shred paper, and declutter your space of other items you no longer need. Public Works also offers a rain barrel program where residents can order a discounted barrel to help conserve water and reduce runoff. More on this program can be found on the Rain Barrel Program page.
Check out the Village's events calendar on the homepage for the exact date.
This event is possible thanks to our sponsors Itasca Bank & Trust, Cool DuPage County, eWorks Electronics Services, Republic Services, SCARCE, Working Bikes, ProShred, and Fellowes. For a complete list of items that will be accepted, please see below.
