Construction of the 2021 Street Resurfacing Program continues. Curb and gutter have been installed along George Street and a portion of Bonnie Brae. Concrete driveways along George Street have also been poured.
The contractor is scheduled to continue to pour the concrete curb the week of June 21st on Bonnie Brae, Shiller St, Maple Ave. Cherry St., and Lombard Rd. A reminder that during this time, driveway access will be prohibited for a period of 5 to 7 days to allow the concrete to properly cure (harden) for location where curb crosses your driveway. Access to newly poured driveway aprons will be allowed 5 days after the concrete is poured.
Parking will be prohibited along George Street during this time period. Please note the Itasca Police Department has been notified that overnight parking will be allowed on the side streets from George Street during this period.
Street grinding and resurfacing is scheduled to start towards the end of the week (Thursday or Friday), weather pending.
Temporary lane closures and delays may be experienced; however, they will only last for a short period of time during the construction operations.
We ask for your full understanding and cooperation during construction.
