Senior Resources

Programs and services for older adults are offered by a number of local and regional organizations. These resources assist with transportation, meals, social activities, and support services. Information is provided below.

SOCIAL CLUB

The Itasca Senior Club is a social club for adults age 60 and older offering monthly luncheons, outings, and group activities. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, with discounted luncheons, dinners, trips, and more. For information, contact the Itasca Park District at (630) 773 2257.

SUPPORT SERVICES

The DuPage Senior Citizens Council is a nonprofit, community based organization providing services that support older adults living independently in their homes and communities. Services include home delivered meals, community dining programs, well being checks, health and wellness education, yard clean ups, minor home repairs, pet food and assistance, contractor referrals, and volunteer friendly visits and phone calls. TRANSPORTATION

Ride DuPage provides transportation assistance to older adults and individuals with disabilities at a subsidized rate. Residents of the Village are eligible for this service through Addison Township. More information can be found here

WELLNESS

The Silver Sneakers Fitness Program is available to adults age 65 and older at the Itasca Fitness Center. Participation is offered through eligible Medicare and other insurance plans and provides a free fitness membership. Present a Silver Sneakers card at the Fitness Center for enrollment information.
