The Village Clerk is an elected 4-year position, who serves as the custodian and archivist of the Village's official documents, as well as the compliance officer for Federal, State, and local statutes such as the Public Records Act.

The Clerk's Office is responsible for overseeing the preparation and posting of the agendas for Village Board meetings, as well as attending and providing written recordings of all Village Board meetings. Agendas are posted at the Village Hall and on the Village website 48 hours prior to each meeting in accordance with the Open Meetings Act. Meeting minutes are posted on the Village website after the Board approves them.

Village Clerk prepares and accepts Nominating Petitions, conducts Lottery for placement on the ballot, and Certification of the ballot to DuPage County. More information on Elections & Voter Information can be found here.
The Deputy Clerk is the Village's Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) officer, and as such, is responsible for timely responses to FOIA requests for copies of records or documents maintained by the Village. To make a Freedom of Information Act Request, please click here.
The Clerk's Office maintains the Village Code of Ordinances, Resolutions, and Proclamations enacted by the Village Board.
